Yellow | Extension of Pension Contribution Deferrals? ( YRC Teamster Poll)

1. Really don't think YRCW is hiding money in an offshore account, since they have none to hide.

I believe YRCW had spent over 130 million on the last COO. Where do you think YRC got the $ to do that? I wouldn't be having a COO if YRC doesn't have the Capital or the credit to start with, supposedly. YRC got the $ from their off-shore accounts to create a COO, with their businesses they set up in China. If you were trying to create a Global Economy through your trucking company, and you owed one billion $, plus pension $ to your employees, would you want to stay union? With UPS not paying into the pension anymore, you would looking for a way out as well, because YRC won't and never will pay into the pension again. Now YRC wants another year extension on not paying into the pension. Is there going to be a vote on that issue, or is everyone going to let the company slide with the :bs:, yet again?

2. Some of the Yrcw companies that are profitable right now are union,Glenmoore,New Penn, most of USF all Union,so what exact companies are you talking about.

Not all of Glenmore is union, and with each sales personnel leaving YRCW, they take some of the business with them.

3.A Judge can't do anything about making YRC a non-union company.

If YRCW requests it, a judge can approve with one stroke of the pen. In doing that YRCW can establish new credit, and become debt free. All YRCW has to do, is show the losses.

4.Payroll being processed in India had to do with the company trying to save money, not some big conspiracy theory.

I wouldn't be surprised if dispatchers and management would be out of India too. Didn't a Mc Donald's restaurant have people from India taking orders through the drive through window? I can see YRC install cameras with a loud speaker on the dock, and put them in the trucks for the drivers, as well. What can anyone do to a dispatcher or management that is 10,000 miles away? Can you imagine a man from India on the loud speaker in the truck and his face on a TV monitor, asking a driver where is freight is at? :biglaugh:

5.Did you work for CF?

I don't have to work for CF, knowing that YRC is pulling the same :bs:. They are just doing a better job on hiding the facts.

Now I hope YRCW doesn't do that, but they can if they really want too.

I put a check mark on NO, but in reality it will pass again. No one will be able to make more $ anywhere else.

Don't tell me that reality has affected your opinions. :chairshot: NO way am I happy about the situation at YRC, however with 22+ years (5 weeks vacation, 13:00 start, and full scale -15%) I won't do any better ANYWHERE else.

Not true, if people supported their union and attended meetings to help organize other trucking companies, it can only get better than worse for everyone else. One good way to support oneself and others is to file grievances on unfair work practices that YRC continues to take advantage of people on at work, every day. I kicked, slammed, and broke that lock against the wall on the file cabinet for a reason. So everyone at YRC can have access in getting a grievance sheets when needed. Take a pick, it isn't hard to find anything to file on. YRC makes an average of $1,200 per person working in one month's pay. There are ways of reclaiming that money. Put it a grievance form. Everyone still pays union dues, so if there is an opportunity, "GET R DONE!"

In Good Economic Times, with a Financially Stable Compay-- sure. Today, it would only eat up the operating cash-- IF it even got heard. You're simply wasting your time. .....

I disagree, YRC has plenty of off-shore accounts that their hiding from everyone. So basically, no one can be a Teamster, because of Economic Times? The time that is wasted, is the time not filling out a grievance sheet in claiming for the lost $, IMO.

Where do you come up with this crap I.S. , INSTEAD OF MAKING THINGS UP MAYBE WE SHOULD STAY ON TRACK WITH WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON.

It isn't crap. I have a good friend who happens to be an auditor, for big corporate banking. It just so happens that my friend is auditing YRCW and their banks as we speak. YRCW's off-shore accounts looks profitable, where they can use that money for people's pensions. As long as the money isn't in America, YRCW can spend any way they want. When everyone voted Yes, YRCW took that money and is hiding it in off-shore accounts for their other trucking companies they have around the world other than the US, and they can legally do that. The only trucking companies that aren't making a profit, are the union companies of YRCW. So if YRCW wants to file Chapter 11, they can request to a judge that YRCW will be profitable under a non-union work force. The judge can grant them their request and wipe YRCW's debt off, and start over having a new clean line of credit, under a non-union work force. Notice how Glenmore is hiring drivers like crazy, also Glenmore is handled by YRCW's off-shore accounts. I believe our checks are made out by people who live in India. See the connection? It is what CF did to get Con-way going, but without the off-shore accounts.

A Swiss bank?

I think all of the companies can pull mature and by the time anyone trys to stop them it is already done. I just want to see people keep their jobs at a decent rate. Our wages can not keep going backwards.

well you know one of two things might happen:
[li]the Casey bill becomes law and the funds now are in the black and the PBGC picks up a 8B dollar tab[/li]
[li]if that is too good to be true then you decide if smaller pension contributions will work[/li]
the free ride ends with the new year
The CF to Con-way doesn't ring a bell? $ Bill can also file Chapter 11, and reorganize the company by getting rid of the mistake of surviving management. Look at the stock numbers, ever since ******* has taken control of operations for YRC.
