I saw this on Facebook last week. Dude looks a liitle to young to be a Sgt. Major, probably what gave it away.

That and probably the fact that some of his medals were not properly aligned. Marines pay special attention to detail.

And you don't wear ribbons and medals. One or the other. The idiot sounds like an idiot. It's doubtful someone that mutters through lies like that would reach the rank of SGM.

well there will always be "wannabe's"....

some of you guys know more than i do about how the uniform should look..

he was slow in talking, so (to me) he could have a mental issue as well.....

if he continues to do this, he may get violently assaulted.

one marine, asked (at about the 5:40 mark) if he knew it was a federal crime to be dressed up like that.....is that true..???

well......in any event, some day, he may very well get worse. and if that happens, will the person doing the harm, be charged with assaulting a mentally disabled person..?? (if he is that)

thanks, but it does say this...which has me a bit confused (for now)..

"If you lie about being awarded military honors for profit, you can now be subject to criminal prosecution, according to a new law signed by President Obama today."

so, if he is only wearing the uniform, but not looking for "profit", is it still a crime..???

probably is, but, it does add this....

"with the intent to obtain money, property, or other tangible benefit,"

the "other tangible benefit" could be a free dinner or lunch..??

just asking, please, no one get upset with me.....

i just want to know, so that in the future i may respond to such like posts again.

thanks

I doubt anyone is upset, esp me. I was looking for info came across this which I had heard of but not to this extent-I thought it ment the use of medals/ribbons esp the medal of honor. Marines are very critical of others they see unsat and love to bring it to their attention,we call it hazing

yeah thanks...for your understanding.

when i am not sure of something, or do not know much information, and i read it on the boards, i inquire so that i can learn from it. i could do a search as well, but sometimes those that are "in the know", can explain things better.
