have you the seen the breed of drivers that FEDEX is molding?. they are better off with the old timers, just sayin. at least the old timers have work ethic and respect for othersIf FedEx would max out their side a lot of older drivers could retire earlier to make room for more productive youngsters.

wrong. WORK ETHIC is up to the driver. you decide your work ethic, no one elseDoesn't mean they can go on forever. And like it or not, the work ethic part isn't up to FedEx or the individual anymore. The government says how many days/hours you can work and they ultimately have the final say on what drivers can be hired. Attitude or respect is on the low end of hiring priorities.

They put a limit on how long you work.So the government saying that I can't run more than 11 hours or work more than 14 in a day or so more than 70 in 8 days has nothing to do with anything?
They put a limit on how long you work.
Work ethic is what YOU can get done in that amount of time....
I will go head to head with anyone on the dock. don't care about age. I will load a trailer to ride no reworksThats learned over time. Nobody is born knowing how to manage that clock. You can't expect someone that just started doing this (because they're young) to be as good as an old timer. It's not a reasonable expectation. Also, keep in mind that a lot of younger guys spend more time on the dock than on the road. I would bet anything that those guys would out work you on a dock easily. For the most part youryo referring to experience, not work ethic. A guy that drives once a month isn't going to get as much work done as a guy that drives everyday. Just like if I put you on a dock your BPH would be laughable. They're not the same.
I think WORK ETHIC is determined more by QUALITY of work, no matter what. Integrity. Not "quantity" of work, IMHO.Thats learned over time. Nobody is born knowing how to manage that clock. bring it on
reworking a trailer is part of the game. mgmt doesn't give a flying **** on how trailers are loaded but I load every trailer as if I'm the one pulling it. when I do it it's done right , I don't give a :: about the numbers. safety comes first. The computers are only as smart as the people that program them and we as a company can"t even get old technology like the bricks working correctly. but if you ask mgmt-----we are the industry leader in technology. we are a joke in this industry.Maybe you will, but what happens when you have to rework everyone else's work? That trailer has it's floor blown out, there's no room for anything but it only has 3k of weight in it . And we go back to the same thing. I know some guys are lazy. I know young and old guys that are lazy. I see them everyday. I also see young guys and old guys that are disrespectful. I agree with you when you say that FedEx would be better off with respectful people that have a work ethic, hell every company would be better off if that's all they had. My point is work ethic and experience are 2 different things. You can't say somebody is lazy because they're not as productive as you when they've only been doing it for a short amount of time. I'd prefer that young guy do a fraction of what an older guy does as long as he's working hard, learning and doesn't hit anything. The alternative is the videos you've seen here.

That’s good work ethic.as long as he's working hard, learning and doesn't hit anything.
What work ethic???? city drivers get paid by hour so why in the hell would anyone kill themselves for $29 an hour??? 1.5 stops per hour is good enough for me per hour... and road drivers all you do is sit back and drive the damn truck... so you comparing old/young workers is honestly stupid because I can be 25 or 65 I will still work the same.. we all come to work to get paid on friday morning not to impress no damn purple shirt...... it doesnt have to do with if your an old timer or not it just has to do with if your smart enough to work smart and safe for your buck....wrong.
