Heard a driver got busted doing over 100mph in his personal vehicle. Heard he probably will keep his license but not sure. FedEx policy is what if driver still keeps license he/she still ok or does FedEx take action regardless.

:smilie93c peelout:Has to be reported to safety and he will probably be gone soon , big hassle .
Got caught going 27 over on the HD , I keep my job because the cop wrote
it for 15 over and failure to obey a sign , he shamed me and said I should
know better as a professional. Also reminded me that I had a wife , daughter
and employer that depends on me. Oh , yea it was well over 100...

been there, done that. Fedex was actually pretty cool about it

You get 2 shots at 15mph over convictions BEFORE going to a driver review.
Correct, in a personal vehicle.

I don't have the policy right now, but the regulations do separate personal vehicle violations from Commercial vehicle, with the exception being anything alcohol related.

https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/title49/section/383.51

In a commercial vehicle, the second one is a dis qualifier, per FMCSA. ANY 2 "serious" violations (convictions) in 3 years equals 60 day DQ.

Those serious violations?
1) Speeding 15 or more over
2) Following too closely
3) Improper lane or erratic lane changes
4) Driving Recklessly
5) Handheld Cell Phone/electronic device use.

And then there are stand alone convictions that result in 1 year DQ:

Anything alcohol related - INCLUDING in PERSONAL VEHICLE
Leaving the scene of an accident
Commission of a felony involving the use of a commercial vehicle.

*RR crossing violation convictions result in 60 day DQ for 1st offence.

*The MOST serious violation that I'm aware of is using a commercial vehicle in the commission of a felony involving manufacture, distribution of a controlled substance. Lifetime DQ, for 1st offence.

The company will do what they want with you , remember we make up new rules as we go along , whatever works for them not you driver. Better get comfortable under your TM and the dispatch desk my friend. Hope you have free pop , candy , cookies , beef sticks and cheese so you stay in good with them.

Too bad you don't have a "Hummingbird Article" to cover these situations.
