Pitt Ohio makes investment in final-mile provider

Less-than-truckload carrier Pitt Ohio announced a minority investment in national final-mile platform Aria Logistics.

Pitts made an investment in this final mile provider. I've never heard of them but growing in this economy can only be looked at as a good thing.

Another segment of the industry that’s been trending towards third-party providers in recent years. I believe JB Hunt was one of the first of larger carriers to add this to their list of services and I’ve seen Schneider advertising for drivers for this as well. Quite a few “Independent Contractor” opportunities out there for those who want to “be your own boss” while being told what to do.

Based out of Englewood, NJ- Company tractor trailers, Straight trucks and O/O straight trucks. White Glove service( everything LTL's don't want to do), small warehouse, cross docking, LTL and truckload. See their trucks floating around the metro area.
