Heard thru the pipes from a linehaul driver that was talking to a Jacksonville city driver that they are being forced to run Sunday linehaul runs. Anyone know if this is true and if it is going company wide??
It depends on how busy your terminal is. There were times when I ran the city, they asked for volunteers to run on weekends. My terminal was pretty fair about it and if they had to force us to run linehaul they started at the bottom of the seniority list and worked their way up. Wherever they left off, that is where they would pick back up if it were to happen again, until they exhausted the seniority list. Not sure if it is done the same way elsewhere.
