i didn't hear it straight from the horses mouth but from what i understand their seems to be a major issue with "clerks" and if the members do not agree with all concessions , yrcf/regionals will close the doors on december 23rd, and file for bankruptcy.

I understand both randy c and bob p were present.

WHY WAIT UNTIL DECEMBER 23? RAY CHARLES CAN SEE THIS ISN'T GOING TO WORK. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! THANKS YRC.

Clerks? is that and why would that make or brake a deal? It's a done deal anyway you can bet on that! Why even vote?

I agree with you cracker. Seems most everyone that opens their mouth about the MOU extension is "NO", but when the vote comes in the mail every thing turns real all of the sudden and all the no's turn to yes.

Didn't you guy's hear, anybody who showed up for work this week is being counted as a yes vote!
It's a new deal by Hoffa....

Yep. It happens every time. Mamma (who handles the bills) is standing over the big bad driver's shoulder watching to be sure that he checks the YES box. lol

I can promise you if it is anything short of a raise every year including 2014 and we top back out in the last year with full contributions it will be a NO from myself..
Welch and company are getting raises and bonuses.. We deserve the same.
Investors would not allow that to happen if they were truly in the shape that they want us to believe there in... If we keep giving up every thing that the men and women before us fought for and stood together for we do not have a job worth having... Low wages, No retirement, No overtime after eight.

To anyone that is willing to give up more then we have already gave.. Do the rest of us a favor.. VOTE NO and go get you a non union job where you do not need a back bone because all decisions are made for you.

I always laugh when I see how these big boys get their "retaining" bonuses. Why the heck would a company pay to "retain" someone......who is running a company into the ground? Since when does incompetence warrant a bonus?
The board and the top brass probably sit around together in a cigar smoke filled room laughing at how they approve of and sign off on each other's b.s. contracts, while they shaft the working stiffs. Greedy thieves.

Vote yes...for making management not have to do their job... Vote yes for a weaker union... Vote yes for no job security... Vote yes for bad moral... Vote yes for NOT helping the younger teamsters who think they actually think they may retire with a decent job... Vote yes for giving your pensions away... Vote yes and give management a blank check, and wait for all the new changes to your contract that you won't even know what is in it till you pass it...

Did I mention VOTE YES TO MANAGEMENT NOT DOING THEIR JOBS, MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO GET BONUS, AND OTHER COMPENSATION AND NOT BEING HELD ACCOUNTABLE!!! A GIFT FROM ALL THEIR EMPLOYEES, FOR RUNNING MULTIPLY COMPANIES INTO THE GROUND...

ONE THING YOU CAN BE SURE OF A YES VOTE IS TO GIVE YOURS, AND EVERY RETIRED MEMBERS PENSION AWAY, WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!

VOTE YES AND GUARANTEE THEY WILL BE BACK AGAIN FOR YET ANOTHER CONCESSION!!! THEY KNOW IT HAS WORKED 4 TIMES AND WILL NOT STOP TILL THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS DOING IT ON YOUR MONEY, WHILE THEY NEVER SHARE ANY LOSS OF INCOME, HEALTH, OR PENSION CUTS!!!

REMEMBER THEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE THEIR GOLDEN PARACHUTES!!!

VOTE NO!!! HOLD MANAGEMENT AND THE IBT ACCOUNTABLE!!!

Sorry Guys I had to post this!!! Hope you don't mind...

Y'all need to just vote yes. The big boy's cribs aren't cheap ya know. That bonus money of theirs is used to keep them out of a house that look like yours.
Don't be rude and destroy their tough way of life.

Great post papajohn!!!!!

Does anyone know what county and State Welch lives in. If he has a house in his name it could probably be looked up on a county web site.

I've been voting no thru all of this and the people who were given this good job by former members who fought for those coming into this job. You who have voted yes are a bunch of mesters that don't look to the future.

My old lady has been hounding me to get the hell out of here for four years and I tell her I'm here to fight to the end and try to do what my Dad did for his generation of teamsters!

As a newer member of the Teamsters, I have sat around listening to the senior members, learning the union ways. I have heard stories of the good years and the bad. I understand all of the sacrifices that you all have made to try and make this a better place. You have all been screwed over way too much for way too long. I can't speak for anyone else in my barn, but I can say that I will PROUDLY VOTE NO!!!!!!! And hold my head high knowing that I did the right thing for my union brothers!!!!!!

I vote yes to hold our union accountable for accepting all these demands. What happened to old fashion negotiations? How can we hold management accountable for asking for the moon if were willing to give it away. I would love to hear a reliable statement for the IBT explaining why they accepted a take it or leave it proposal. Our local is clueless to say the lease on anything pertaining to the proposal.

I think that back in the old days, if the company threw something like this out WITHOUT any Union input, the Union would have called for a strike the next day. By catching the Company off guard with a strike threat, they'd have been happy to bring a proposal to the negotiating table immediately. But that was in the "old days".
