Pig's.....

:wtflol: It's an "all about me" world FDV.... People just don't care about anybody but themselve's anymore. You try and keep your assigned tracter clean, and then Management tell's a guy " oh just take" tractor #" and then you get a pig drivin it for a day. At my old barn there's driver's that actually drive with the glove's on, that they used to use on their pre-trip. grease and oil all over the steering wheel and door.:cuss:

It's that new way of doing things. Get rid of or drive off the real drivers, bring up people from the dock to be dock/drivers that don't get real training, don't know what they should do, and/or don't care what happens to the equipment. Don't know what the rest of the world thinks of them as they go down the road with those really cool fog lights on. Greasy hand prints on the door go right along hand in hand with greasy boot prints on the fender because someone is too stupid or too lazy to pull the hood over to clean the windows. Oh wait, if they had to pull the hood over to do the windows, they might have to check the fluids and steering components.

But then again, maybe they really are a little light in the loafers.

I share with a city guy and every day I have to clean the door panel and steering wheel. Is it really that hard to take your gloves off?

I can go one better. I have a trash bag in between the seats within hands reach, and they throw there trash in the floor.:wtflol: It really makes you wonder what there house looks like?

Not to classify myself in the slob classification, but u r being unrealistic. We have thousands of drivers from all walks of life. There are folks that keep a clean house and others that don't give a crap. I use to be pretty anal about keeping the truck spotless, but after having to slip seat with other drivers who couldn't care less, I simply gave up. Want a consistently clean tractor every day?? Become an owner operator

I by no means have a spotless truck, nor do I expect it to be spotless. It's a work truck! If you drive a truck and eat while you're driving, have enough respect for the next driver to clean up uneaten food and wrappers off the floor. The trash bag is right there within hands reach. It's real nice getting in a truck and having ice cream all over the steering wheel and dash. (unrealistic), I don't think that is to much to ask for???

That's about as bad as having coke spewed all over the dash, steering wheel, and windshield and instead of cleaning it up he just put on his work gloves and drove like that all day. What a mess. I used to spend upwards of 2hours every Saturday morning cleaning and armoural stuff and cleaning all the glass and by Wednesday it looked like it hadn't been touched with a rag. It sux spending all that time and then having a driver with grease all over his boot prop the door open off and on all day and get grease ground into it.

Over here at National we still have nose poles,as I'm sure you all know. I see drivers everyday grabbing those nasty greasy things barehanded and then jumping in their truck.........................and mangement wonders why I keep driving the old sweat box no one else wants to drive........I remember one time I was training this fella when I worked for freight and he grabs the door handle with gloves on and then jumps in the truck!!!!!!!!! I told him if I ever saw him do that again I'd make sure he didn't pass the driving test.....he never did it again..........well around me anyway

Respect......

:regretful: Okay,,Everybody make's a fine point regarding both side's.:regretful: BUT whatever happened to "RESPECT" for your fellow man or worker. I know I allready said "it's all about me" but come on, there was a day when we looked out for each out there in the truckin world.:shift:

Maybe half of us here in SRT (shamrock) share a truck. I do anyway. I always pick my trash up and frebreeze the seat, bring my own paper towels. I don't do a good job on the windows, to short, so he told me I make them worse, lol, I have to clean the headlights. I can reach them. The guy I share with we respect each other and I would be embarrassed if I left him a dirty truck. We look out for each other too. Why isn't it like that anymore?

its sad to see the "hey its just a truck mentality". but what can you do if red shirts don't fallow up

I always liked the tobacco chewers who spit out a half open vent or window and 3/4ths of the crap ended up on the inside of the windows or headliner. And don't foget the sneezers who loved to sneeze on the inside of the windshield or side window rather than roll the window down and turn their heads. Needed a paint scraper to get those big dried yellow gobs off !!!!!!!!!

When i used to drive one of the old International reclasses with the short dog house with the small round indentation for a "cup holder" the new guy that drove it at night would get a large coffee out of the vending machine and sit it there with no lid. Anything I would leave in the truck had coffee on it as did most of the driver compartment. I finally told the dispatcher to find him another truck because since I don't drink coffee I shouldn't have to clean up coffee every morning
