OH MY I thought my birthday was forgotten???
I should of come on this UPS Freight forum to see all of my truckingboard friends, and company co-workers around the system that were giving me the birthday kudo's with out me knowing it.

Well thanks a lot to everyone you are the best.

YUP I figured I'd retire at the end of March this year because my birthday makes me 64 that way I only get cheated out of 3% of the old Overnite/UPS Freight pension money.
After having that jackknife crash the first week in December last year I was really soured on driving in the winter season.
but if I didn't work through the winter season I'd of lost 6% of the pension fund.

Well than I made it, thank God.

I'm still burning up the rest of my vacation days.
because UPS said take any time coming or forget getting paid for the days you don't take.

My official discharge date from UPS is March 31st.

I just received my statement for my first pension direct deposit.
I already received my first SSI direct deposit on my birthday.
I still waiting on my 20 year Teamster payments.

Well thats my story.
So far everyday seems like a Saturday its really wierd not going into my terminal and doing my route everyday?

Its real nice looking out my bedroom window at the snow coming down, and going back to sleep in the mornigs I'd normally be going to work.

I do say a prayer for eveybody that has to drive in the storms.

Even though I'm retiring,once a safety man,always a safety man.
I still want every trucker to be focused on what they are doing so they will be safe.
