Dayton | Has the company banned employees?

In a recent meeting I asked if there were “social media police” Everyone laughed but after I explained that the previous company I worked for had such employees and drivers would here from safety about selfies while driving and so forth management claimed to not have nor need personnel watching social media.
Having worked for a larger LTL carrier, and like most I do P&D right beside other carriers and we talk shop, I’m convinced coming to DAFG was a good move. It’s not a perfect company but I’m happier here than I would be anywhere else

I think you did. They don't seem to have the turnover rate like bigger l.t.l's that's usually a good sign. Ive been eye keeping a check on the one near me, but they have not hired in over a year.

We are definitely monitored on social media. I know some drivers that have been asked to take down posts within 10 minutes of posting them. They will say something like it's in your best interest to take it down lol.

Never use Facebook and never put your picture to it. Don't use your real name either. I did once and i was amazed at how many people around the world were named *******. After that incident i started using an alias as to not be confused with others.

Which one are you looking at? I know that we have several openings my terminal. But we're still not actively hiring for some reason.

Nashville or Knoxville. A.B.F is on a hiring freeze as well. They are looking for some part help, but i can't work part time.

On a rare occasion they will ask us to work the dock. Usually to help someone else out that's running low on hours. Or to break a trailer at a dark terminal. Otherwise it's just terminal to terminal or truck stop relays.

I think most l.t.l companies are stalled somewhat. The economy is not as good as the govt news tells us on tv. Id guess they are waiting to see how the election goes as well. If a certain party gets in there and they start attacking the oil industry and mandating prices we will probably see the great depression 2.0. Things are just unstable at the moment and everyone is treading lightly to get a feel for what might be heading our way.

Bout 20 years ago this site crashed.... just imploded. One day everything was just gone

That wont happen a second time, and if I even smell management on the site I mod for they gets put on notice pronto. We aint playin that chicken :: game, not on my watch
