did the trial lawyers get involved for the lack of power that caused so much food to spoil and the folks that couldn't get to work because the alarm clocks didn't work?

As you can tell by my previous posts, trial lawyers are the scum of the earth in my eyes..
once, I actually witness a paralegal handing out business cards at the scene of an accident.

That video has been out for a while….If they put the utility lines at the proper height the pole would still be standing….
Exactly correct. Electrical codes require specific heights above the road surface to prevent that kind of thing. For example:

 
Happened to me years ago with ABF. No letter because the line was in the street. If it had happened in the customers driveway or on his property, I would have gotten a letter. The line from the pole to the house is usually lower & is charged to you as an accident if on their property. Alley's are considered public domain, so no letter. von.
