Here is a cool pic

that must have been one loud ride
I much preferred those loud rides to what is available now! Loud is loud, but pretty cool I think. The noise these plastic trucks make today defy description. Experienced more hearing loss in the last 5 years with theses plastic trucks then I did in 50 years of being in repair shops and driving trucks. When FXF first got the plastic Peterbilts, I was shocked Peterbilt would even put their name on them.

FC, don't you remember "The Graduate ?".

My fellow road drivers in the southwest posted a similar picture 15 years or so ago. Except the young lady forgot to get dressed and was facing the camera. Is quite striking actually. I have that photo but will never post it. Somebody at the time posted it. Noticed that after it seemed to be out there in cyberspace for a bit, mgt. started to to get quite nitpicking about anything. Not coincidence I believe!

I thought all 'Bubble Nose Gmc's' were just ugly freight trucks. I like this one, pure class. If the driver's side fuel tank is the same size as the curb side, that rig could run enough miles for both drivers to be out of hours before fueling. Breeze may have driven one like this. I would take bets there is a 671 under the cab. Would love to hear it pull. This rig would make a one of a kind restoration if repowered with a 12V71. The sound through those dual exhausts would shake the acorns off trees. The low bunk lets fresh air get to the Thermo King. Thanks for posting it, never seen one like it.

I was thinking of an 8V71 since the tandem.
I've never seen an 8V in one of these.
Ours were 6V single stack, day cab called DF860.
Our first ones in 55 were hydramatic.
GM paid all driver breakdown and delay time, and we got plenty.
