I didn't pay much attention to the game. Just enough.
Too much arguing in another forum. Which I am gonna stay out of now.

I stayed away from said forum for a few days. Today I went back in. I'm with you, I'll stick with this board, I can't take anymore of that stuff. The energy's gotten way out of line for me, you can only explain the same thing so many times. This should keep us occupied until the dust settles some over there.

The Av's got beat in 6 games by the President's cup winner, Nashville last year. They are a lot better and different team this year.

I have a story about Jim Montgomery, the Stars coach. I knew a young man that played for Western Michigan State when Brian Murray coached there. The last 3 years he was there, WMS was in the same division as DU and Colorado College. So he was in Colorado for 4 games each year and I was able to get tickets from him for the games for free. Due to my work schedule, I could attend the Friday and Saturday games at CC, but could only make the Saturday games at DU.
So one of the weekends at DU, WMS pounded the Pioneers on Friday. I went the next night with my daughter and a bunch of relatives. My sister in law was this young man's aunt. So WMS beat DU again. We were going to see our player after the game and they had us escorted to an elevator to take us down to where the buses were to see him. Oddly enough they had an elevator operator. Well we got in on the top floor and the operator starts on this rant about how crappy DU was playing, etc. The elevator stopped on the the next floor and who walks in, Jim Montgomery.
The elevator door is not even closed and the operator continues on his tirade about DU. We stop at the next floor and he gets off. We start down and I turn to my brother and say "wasn't that DU's Coach?" The elevator operator looks at me and says "I hope not, I might not have a job tomorrow."
We all thought we would bust a gut laughing at the poor guy.
