I was guestimating how many hours a person needs to work to equal an average unemployment check to try and shine some light on m3sews question.

Here we go again.... every t/m runs his barn the way he want's..... not on a consistant,by the book Estes policy. When I worked p@d, just like what you said, rongizmo, the senoir drivers would ask for days off to help the bottom guys... Problem was.... they were never given the days off, and the bottom guy seldom worked. Driving around to different barns now, I can never hear the same story, as to how they handle the slow times. Pretty much, shut up and put up ,or go on down the road, if it doesn't work for you

EXACTLY! I'm "upper middle" on the board and would prefer LESS hours, but tend to get worked MORE hours cuz I get the job done, never bring freight back! So they tend to use me more often.....sigh! But yes, all the t/m's run them how they see fit! Met many that have come into ours (235) and remark their terminal is NOTHING like ours! Oh well! I'm working, I have medical insurance, I'm not complaining! (for now!)
