At my barn new guys start at 10am and senior drivers usually bid 7am start times with a handful of oddball earlier starts for special customers and everything in between.
I've seen some really weird city bid sheets at other terminals so they're all different depending on geography and customer needs.
As a new guy do u get to bid? Or is it just new guy start at 10am until they build enough time to get a bid? Is there a chance a new guy gets a earlier start time then 7am if nobody bids on the earlier times?

New guys aren't able to bid, they just get put on what's available. If that happened to be an early start then that's what they'd be doing, but the likelihood of that actually happening is roughly 0%. Too many drivers want to be off in time to eat dinner with the family, and that privilege typically goes to those with some amount of seniority. If a guy with an early start quit or got fired they'd do a bump bid to allow the drivers below him to snag it--a new driver wouldn't automatically get it.
