Maybe they could also pay OTR drivers when getting loaded or unloaded too...the representatives are appalled that drivers can't use a restroom, but think its ok not to get paid....SMH

I actually did complain. OSHA says I (we) have a legal right to leave anytime, and seek a suitable place. We're considered a mobile work crew. Sadly, as it stands now, the burden in on FedEx (any trucking company) to allow for this, not the shipper/consignee.

So, HR agreed, since some locations are known issues - we can find a place before we go there AN/OR after we leave. If the need arises at the customer, drop out, shut and lock the door, bobtailing out. Or if not in middle of loading, just leave - tell them well be back after...

Now that the thread has derailed, I’ll throw it out there. Visitor Linehaul here. As dysfunctional as my place is, I’m not about to trade my seniority for anywhere else. What I read here :smilies 19296: tells me every company is the same. Maybe Dayton & Pitt/Ohio as they’re family owned & not at the size of Estes or R&L. Handfull of years left. All I can do to hang on for the bigger picture.
