Sounds like some of you would be good specimens for Pavlov.
Wow, doesn't this sound familiar? Looks like the same situation at YRC.Now you sound like our friend Spaghetti.
why are people like Jay C on here licking the companies balls, and trying to scare the teamsters into a yes vote. You already said you dont work with us. Why dont you stay out of it, and let us teamsters discuss it privately. It would be nice if you could do this for us. Or do you g=have not a friend to talk to, so you have to keep your nose in someone else's business?
I just think it is really low to try and influence someoneabout their job, when you dont have the same things at stake....just sayin.
ya know bro, I haven't actually posted anything telling people how to vote..just giving my take what damage I think it would do and there will be damage. Why don't I stay out of it you ask?..because I've been in it all my life. People like you are the worst kind of teamster. I call them keester teamsters..the pill poppin druggies who are
smuggling drugs in your bum...this can't be a personal attack since you already admit to it
turboJ to JayC
As much as it gives me pain to say this, even about a management guy like you but you've got to be the most self centered, self serving poster on here.
Now come on joe, he really does have a point. As much as it gives me pain to say this, even about a management guy like you but you've got to be the most self centered, self serving poster on here.
That pos hoffa and "little" johnson can give you the line of bs that if you vote
Of course they weren't going to shut it down immediately, theres just to much milk in the cow and more to squeeze with the yaz mas-sa vote. I still want to know where the onion's messiah is in all this.

As far as me being self centered I don't know how else I could rephrase this. I ain't worried about me..even if I take a cut 8-10 years down the road which I doubt will happen I could still go to the casino twice a week..worry about yourself, bro
I would say about a 25 - 30% chance they shut down. About a 65 - 70% chance they don't. I believe they will come back with another offer, based on truth this time. It may include another pension deferral for a year or two, as well as hard concessions they would like; for example, the drop n hook stuff and other flexibility issues. I think if the next offer would be relatively "above board", without all the "back door, destroy the NMFA" clauses that are engineered into this one, it would be viewed favorably.
I think an offer like that, without backdoor clauses and destroy the NMFA clauses, would pass.
I do believe that anyone that votes for this one will regret it, when they see how it actually is applied.
I think that YRCW management, if they were to actually bargain in good faith, would find the Teamsters and YRC management want this company to survive and prosper as much as they do. I believe we could all make this a lean mean company, if the top would listen to the bottom and they could work together.
Sppoken like a true union-buster.Now come on joe, he really does have a point. As much as it gives me pain to say this, even about a management guy like you but you've got to be the most self centered, self serving poster on here. The yes borg just don't get it, they "are" going to shutdown, no ifs, ands or buts. Thats because they want to shutdown. They want the onion out of trucking and youz yes borg and for some strange reason the onion wants it too.
That pos hoffa and "little" johnson can give you the line of bs that if you vote yes that investors(raiders)will come save the pos company. Yeah, just like a thief in the night would. Ask yourself why would they, it would still be onion and there'd always be that chance of trouble and higher costs in the future.
Of course they weren't going to shut it down immediately, theres just to much milk in the cow and more to squeeze with the yaz mas-sa vote. Have any of you called or wrote your congressman or senator? Put as much out there as you can. This crap company really needs an outside look from somebody than this self absorbed onion that only cares about the dues. As a matter of fact, take a look at their, or should I say "our" books because its "our" money, not theirs like they think. I still want to know where the onion's messiah is in all this.
hey monica-joe . thats not milk. need a towel?
Ok so the creeps in Washington are laughing at us. Hey, he won didn't he? As far as milkin the cow that is the reason everybody works here. We're supposed to rob this place not destroy it. You got milk?..I don't think so
As far as me being self centered I don't know how else I could rephrase this. I ain't worried about me..even if I take a cut 8-10 years down the road which I doubt will happen I could still go to the casino twice a week..worry about yourself, bro
A little history lesson to be learned here from just last summer: Do big trucking companies lie, cheat and steal?
Do you trust YRCW to do whats best for you? Do they even have any credibility?
ABF Vote Results- Teamsters Reject Concession Plan

ABF Freight Teamsters Reject Plan to Protect Jobs, Benefits
Teamsters employed at ABF Freight System have rejected a Wage Reduction-Job Security plan aimed at protecting the jobs of more than 7,000 workers and securing their health, welfare and pension benefits for the remainder of the National Master Freight Agreement.
Mail ballots were sent out April 30 and counted today with the process being overseen by an independent election officer. With a final count of 3764 no, 2936 yes, (a difference of 828 votes, out of 6700) the workers voted no on the plan with about 80 percent of the members affected participating in the vote.
“We took a proactive approach to help ABF get through the worst economic recession since the Great Depression, but our members have rejected the plan,” said Tyson Johnson, Director of the Teamsters National Freight Division. “The union will regroup to determine if there are other means to protect jobs and benefits. Our first priority continues to be the members’ best interests.”
Ballots were sent out to about 7,000 active employees and about 1,000 workers with recall rights. About 56% of the 6,700 employees that cast ballots, voted no.
"The current economic decline has been unprecedented in its depth and duration. Our company, including our nonunion employees, has made significant financial sacrifices during this period. It is unfortunate that our union employees have chosen not to participate in better aligning ABF's cost structure with those of its LTL competitors," said Judy R. McReynolds, Arkansas Best President and Chief Executive Officer. "Going forward, we will evaluate our various options in dealing
Wes Kemp Statement Posted At ABF Terminals:
"We’ve been officially notified that the proposed Wage Reduction-Job Security Plan failed to receive the necessary majority of votes for its passage which I deeply regret. This means we'll be forced to pursue other less desirable and less palatable solutions that will in all likelihood be more short-termed focused than the more preferable long term. That said, we certainly don't intend to give up. However, we need everyone to step up and render unprecedented effort in performing your jobs. I remind you that a 15% improvement in productivity can deliver essentially the same benefit to the company as a 15% wage cut. Consequently, I urge you to go about your duties as the professionals you are and strive to perform every task as promptly, precisely, cooperatively, and safely as possible."

i'll be voting NO, again. also, how do get a class action lawsuit going to prevent them from making us return from loa, when, the pension isn't funded at 100%. furthermore, how do you accrue pension time when they're only funding 25%. somebody explain that. brothers and sisters, it's all about your dues money, and, their ability to skim off the plans... yeah, come on, tell me it ain't so... bulls@@t!
