Pope Francis says today's 'culture of hate' reminds him of the days of ಠ▄ಠ
    https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/15/us/p...CVu5cFUgq3QHTXqFXmV0PClxv9rGPn8F-_KryG6NTMhJQ

Rome (CNN)Pope Francis said some of the things he's heard targeting Jews and the LGBTQ community remind him of the days of Adolf ಠ▄ಠ.

The pope made the remarks Friday while speaking to members of the International Association of Penal Law, which is meeting this week in Rome.
"I confess that when I hear some speeches by someone responsible for public order or a government, I am reminded of ಠ▄ಠ's speeches in 1934 and 1936," the pope said. "They are typical actions of Nazism which with its persecutions of Jews, gypsies, people of homosexual orientation, represent a negative model 'par excellence' of a throwaway culture and a culture of hate."
"That's what they did then and today these things are resurfacing," the pope added, calling on his audience "to be vigilant, both in civil and religious society, to avoid any possible compromise...with such degeneration."

My Latin American Pope needs to remember John 8:7. ( He who is without sin cast the first stone) My Church has a short memory.

    1. Child molestation
    2. Popes Pius XI and XII being stonedeaf during the war, after the war helping the Na$is escape to South America.
    3. Vatican City that has a wall around it, and tells the the U.S. that we don't need a fence, and need to let anybody and everybody in when they don't.
    4. Let's not forget the Spanish Inquisition.
    5. Letting the "good Catholic dimms" receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion when they let infantacide and abortion continue.
It is my opinion the Church needs to address these issues to their Flock, the Church never has in my time here.
Hey your Holiness is it due as I say not as I due?

What the Pope has failed to mention in this is the actual recent rise in Anti-Semitic attacks have been fostered by those on the Extremes. In Europe we have been seeing a rise in Germany once again and in the United States in New York recent attacks on the Jewish community are going unreported for the most part.

Today somehow and really what I do feel Mag’s intention of the post is the move by some to somehow criticizing George Soros or Schiff is associated with anti-Semitic.... for those who know that mans history you know he helped hunt down Jews with the National Socialist in his youth.

The Jesuits were a huge help against the Reformation. They exist to convert. This is what they do. This is what he's doing no matter what he says or does on the surface.
He will put wheels in motion to convert. By the millions.

I’ll take them seriously when they excommunicate baby killers like Pelosi.
That’s always bothered me, these people need to choose between their politics or their faith. Can’t have both.

I think he is appealing to those who need Christianity the most. He surely knows that the left is more stubborn against Christianity than the right....so he does things to draw them close....
Here is one page with some of the myths and realities against the Inquisition.
It was the state in charge of it and forcing it...they used the Church to do the dirty work. Freemasons and antiCatholics spread the myths and they are taught as fact here just as the left always rewrites history. Protestants and Freemasons started the French and American revolutions. And they are left of the Church imo. And we have been taught their versions of the Inquisition....and Reformation....there are good Catholic pages and sites explaining their history of them. And they don't match AntiCatholic versions.
I like the talk against the left because it's long overdue....going soft has done nothing.

I agree that more strictness needs to exist.
    But also see the difficulty.
The Hierarchy are to mimick Jesus. Jesus says to forgive 70×70..which means unlimited but there is to be repentance.
He hung out with sinners. He forgave them.
Condemning with no lesson wasn't really part of the deal. Jesus outright condemnation of divorce and remarriage is written into the Gospel...that cannot be changed although it can only be changed by Annulment with their authority( not the state's authority)......makes things difficult for some to understand. They can't change their position on divorce because it is clearly written Jesus views. A lot of other sin is open for their discretion.
He whose sins you forgive are forgiven....that was spoken to those who left all....the Apostles....the priests....its up to them whose sins to forgive or not.

    https://thosecatholicmen.com/articl...rk-legends-the-true-story-of-the-inquisition/

We accept the story told to us by those who do not always have the Church’s best interest in mind. When confronted with accusations about the Inquisition, we acquiesce. We do so out of fear, embarrassed because we do not know our own history. Yet fear flees in the light of truth. We as Catholics should examine the truth behind the Inquisition, and in doing so, come to appreciate what men of old did to preserve truth.

In order to do this, we need to get something straight. The Inquisition was not created in order to persecute heretics. Rather, it was meant to protect the rights of people accused of heresy. In the pre-modern era, heresy was seen as not just an offense against God, but as an act of treason against the state. For this reason, the state executed heretics, not the Church. The Church’s role was to carry out the investigation with the aim of protecting the innocent. This process of investigation was called the Inquisition.

The Inquisition was essentially a theological court. There were three main inquisitions: the Medieval Inquisition (against the Albigensian heresy), the Spanish Inquisition (formed in the late 1400s) and the Roman Inquisition (later the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith). We will focus on the Medieval and Spanish Inquisitions, the ones more readily associated with the term “Inquisition.”

Most anti-Inquisition writers have three major objections to the Inquisition: A) Inquisitors frequently tortured the accused to obtain false confessions; B) The Inquisition provided the opportunity for personal vendettas; C) The Inquisition was responsible for the death of millions of victims. Since all three attack the Church’s mark of Holiness, they must be addressed with charity and gravity

A lesson from separation of Church and State is not really that the Church is the abuser of the power but imo it has been that the governing power will use the religion to justify it's own will. Spain was being overrun by Muslims and heretics.....making multiple belief systems.....all following different beliefs. This makes for difficult governing or sovereignty.....confusion.....not one people.

So they used the Church to punish them into one belief system.......the Church's real stance was to stop the punishment of nonCatholics.....because the government or Kings were killing many. And using the Church to do so. Church actually wanted to stop the heretics from being killed.....many converted in name only but their beliefs didn't fully change as the King desired.

No need for special messages. It's His day and place and you go because you are supposed to go. I don't look like most there. I don't talk to them. I go because I'm supposed to. He doesn't talk to me. It's considered a mortal sin not to go unless you have a real reason not to go. Why? Because showing up keeps the kingdom alive in a tangible real way. It is an act that shows the world that people are still trying. Not just thinking or talking for our own desires. Or our own egos.
Not doing what we want but doing one hour just because we are supposed to. Showing the material and spiritual world that we are doing something just because we are supposed to. Not for our benefit, although we will benefit, but for the benefit of the whole thing. God, the Church, humanity, Heaven.
One hour of not serving self.

If people feel it’s a sacrifice they might as well be somewhere else. We all are sinners on this earth and that’s the bottom line.
