A Barrington man was killed and his wife critically injured Tuesday when a United Parcel Service truck struck their car at a Barrington intersection, police said.
A car driven by John Gibson was turning onto Northwest Highway from the southbound lane of Lake Zurich Road when it was hit by the UPS truck headed west on Northwest Highway, police said.
The truck's driver, Marco A. Rodriguez, 37, of Round Lake Beach, was treated at Advocate Good Shepherd and released, police said.
The accident was under investigation, police said.
