There's no jobs posted available in freight, no internal, none on fedex careers.
Express drivers are dovetailing in by company seniority because they dont do the same as us, they will be trained to fill the positions they want. Say a van driver comes over with 20 years, once he's trained he'll be able to bump someone with 19 years whether is local or road,
Freights getting pooped on again

So looks like we will be teaching the express drivers and they will be teaching us as well.. 1 big happy family :19:

But honestly, if they are coming over to our side.. who’s doing any of the Express CDL work that they do now? I’m assuming the work will be flowing to us as well then imo and with how high a turnover ratio Ground contractors have…. I’m assuming we will get Linehaul runs as well since there will be more packages going Grounds way

Like S69 said in the other thread.. Ground isn’t always hiring because they are busy.. it’s because that place is a joke….. free waiting, free hooking, free dropping, no organization, I mean I can keep going

What? How did you come to that conclusion?
Show me where that's been officially stated. No lower tenured employee will be bumping anyone with an older start date. They will dovetail, as always.
If you can't stop spreading rumors.

Just curious here but where did you get the info of express dovetailing in with Freight? I have seen that mentioned here before but sounds more like a rumor?

Good stuff here , let's stay on topic and try not to spread rumors.
In fighting is what they want to see and truck drivers never see eye
to eye as we all know. Please keep our informative and lively conversation
going so our TM's , management and Raj has something to read beside
how many job they can cut and what lie or brand of hot hogs & cheap
buns (buns may be a option this time) they will try to feed us.

BTW - protect your identity at all cost folks
They know me and punished me for it .

So sad and true from my experience , I was a well tenured high up city AF / FDX driver , entire career safe driving ! I worked very hard to build our company and yes I am a stockholder also but just put a sell order in @ $310 . I can still vote proxy and do vote against bad players. (it's my right) Have the leather jackets , the white gold ring with diamonds , a watch , a box of ::shit:: pins , patches and papers , I do remember them giving me a paper that said I had a Doctorate but I crumpled it up and threw it back at the dickspacher that handed it me who was THE BIGGEST TWO FACED BACKSTABBER - CONVICTED - DRUNK - STALKER ever. Really never trusted anyone there. One time I went all the way up to the top and spoke to a person in Legal General Council who I found on my own after some extensive research and they were a grand person and stepped in , solved a problem in a day and said they were there for me anytime. And thank you , I was thank you ! They did ask how we tracked it down , simple research and a few bounced emails.

D.D. is correct in my opinion , sorry.....

Not sure why you are disagreeing with westdriver as to how dovetailing works. He seemed to give a valid example.

Sell me those 💩 pins

Yea just imagine that , plenty sort and segs with res appointments and pick up-s , them and their little games. I was not crawling under anyone's desk and was not bringing in food & candy sucking up to the creeps like many of them. Bad runs also tried to kill me plain and simple , I got it all done and they could not find anything wrong with my driving , paperwork , customer satisfaction , nothing and that made them even more spiteful to the end.

My apologies.
I don't know how, but I read that as a 19yr Express driver would bump a 20yr Freight driver.
As to that,
Carry on!

Express drivers will NOT be "filling the positions they want"
Also, we're talking heavyweight drivers, not RTD that shuttle packages from ramps to stations. They should remain at Express, as Express employees.

The only drivers that could come to Freight will be the heavyweight drivers, and for the thousandth time, there simply aren't that many. It won't be a factor, and yet again, most are class B only without hazmat.

If this does pan out. Guess it makes sense with the whole FedEx Direct.. maybe it’s been all part of the plan

Well, there won't be an "Express" for them to work under, but I get your point.

AND, the Express heavyweight drivers I know are listed in the system as Tractor Trailer Drivers, regardless of what they usually drive. I also "think" they have hazmat endorsement because Express does haul some. They call it "dangerous goods". I'll have to ask next time I see one, just to be absolutely sure.
