Depends on the run. Usually the low man on the totem pole gets the worst run, probably low miles with a lot of dock work. There is money to be made depending on how many hrs you get walking the patio.
Worst case you get the bottom of the extra board, which can be good and bad...again, worst case you work the dock and get clock time.
Hang in there though, things should get better in time.
Dress warm!!

Worth remembering, after 6 mo., you could transfer to city, if a position opens up. Just depends on what works best for your personal situation. Note: if you do that, you'll start over at the bottom the city list. Long term, the road position will pay significantly more. The more miles, the bigger the difference.

Once I receive the offer letter, how long is the process before I actually start? Any road drivers out of northwest atl on here

Dress warm!! Haha, I'm at the bottom of the list for the city, so to make a paycheck I have to work split shift!!
Will happily trade locations for the next few months, it COLD up here in the northeast!! GA would be like a vacation :)
Either way, like I keep trying to remind myself, stick with it, it will be worth it in the long run.
Good luck

I don't envy you at all!!!!
Had a co-worker that had to go home to Vermont for personal reason two weeks ago, said he couldn't wait to get back to the sunny south!!!

I will be starting on Monday for a road position. Does anyone know how long orientation will be? I think that I will be the only person in class. Thanks for any info

Not sure, you'll have to watch a bunch of safety videos, take a few ride alongs, possibly a driving test...may even be sent to Moreland Ave to attend the week long driver safety classes (if they still do that for new drivers).
I'd guess and say it'll be a couple/several weeks before you're turned loose on your own.
