ROLAND, Iowa A Roland woman is dead after a trailer detached from a truck in central Iowa and struck her vehicle head-on.
Authorities have not released the name of the 56-year-old woman.
The collision occurred after two -p-m today south of Roland. According to the Story County sheriff's office, a utility trailer being towed by a Ford truck came loose, crossed the center line of 150th Avenue and struck the woman's Chevrolet Impala.
The incident is under investigation.
