I'm thinking about jumping ship from Conway Freight due to current changes with their business model being put into affect.

I see UPS is currently hiring in my towns hub and running ads that say (in a nutshell)

UPS Freight Truckload is hiring individuals to work as Full-time Dedicated OTR Dry Van Drivers. Drivers are normally on the road from three to five days at a time.

Is this a good position with UPS ? I really don't know much about it other than what the ad says and what the UPS site says. Doesn't mention if it's hourly or CPM or really much of anything.

A close friend of mine has been with UPS part time non-CDL for around 24 years now but says he doesn't know anything about that division so thought I'd ask here and because they always seem to run those ads I'm a bit leery whether it's a good position.

I see their also hiring UPS Freight Owner Operators Nationwide. The pay you mentioned for the company drivers $0.4¢ a mile and 2nd rate ins doesn't sound too good. Guess I better shoot for the LTL side.
