My dad's uncle, was an oldtime teamster. Started in the early 30s, served in Europe during the war, came back to his seniority spot after the war. Never in his life worked 1 day in December. He said it would push him into a higher tax bracket. He retired out of 560 in 1970.

My local, started in 1970. Geez, does that make me an old timer?

Last bonus I got was a turkey and box of fruit. It wasn't much but at least Overnite treated us good

Same here, it was before 1957 when we went union.

O yea, I think we were a couple of cents shy of $4.00 an hour back then.

I never received a bonus check in almost 40 Years as a Teamster. The only advice I ever got from management during the holidays was " punch your card out and get off of the property."
