FedEx Freight | Job help for Yellow drivers

If anyone knows and would like to help displaced Yellow drivers please give them a reference for any Fedex Freight locations needing drivers.
I know Fedex Freight hires former Teamsters because myself and 5 others have hired on shortly after Yellow bought Roadway in 2008.
Most of these drivers being possibly jobless is very scary I'm sure. Let them know of any opportunities and let them know the Fedex drivers are here to help.

DAY has people forced, thats the only hub I know about near me.

Thats word of mouth since I'm at a EOL that just runs there, might do good to get ahold of someone at that hub.

Last I heard they have 20+ some on furlough and suffering the same extraboard situation NAS is.

Yrk had 3 furlow, 1 vol 2 forced and 2 forced to dock

If we didn't get the amount we need they would of forced. They wanted 10 on our road side but got 8 volunteers so they were okay on that. We have at least 20 drivers working our dock every night hanging in there.

I would assume a new announcement for furloughs would be coming out very soon.

But what I find more strange is that my manager doesn’t like to call for bids until drivers decide if they are taking furloughs. But according to the board, we are getting called sometime next week.

I’m guessing no more furloughs allowed?

Most of us in Chicagoland and all our centers around this area bidded this and last week. However I did hear that another furlough was not off the table. But who knows in this environment. Nobody knows. Does Nashville really have a 40 ppl on the Xtra Board?

I’m sure NasV will get on here soon. But I’m pretty sure they do since we do meet with Nashville and I used to speak to their drivers couple months back.

I'm an optimistic person. And just going to say even with all this pt bs fxf has been patiently waiting to strike on the first fallout. I just don't see why they would do this the way they have. I'm very bias by the way. This company has changed my whole family's life and very proud of that. Given the opportunity we have have the man power trucks and trailers avaliable to run ltl as we were 18 months ago. Just patiently waiting. But I'm probably naive
