Julie Ann Gies, 46, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at her home in Spring Hill, KS. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, KS (913-592-2244), with inurnment following at Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Julie Gies Memorial Fund. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2006 also at Bruce Funeral Home in Spring Hill.
Julie was born May 7, 1960 in Lafayette, Indiana. She moved to Spring Hill in 1972 where she graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1979.
She married Michael Gies on August 13, 1999 in Olathe. Julie worked as a sorter in smalls for UPS in Lenexa for 12 years. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed doing various crafts.
Julie is preceded by her brother Jeffrey Allen Koning. She is survived by her husband Michael of Spring Hill, her mother Diana Mitchell Gordon of Spring Hill and step dad Don Bill Gordon of Des Moines, Iowa, children William Brandon Madison, Britni Rae Brewer, Kenda Gail Able, Karlie Ann Madison, Jordyn Taylor Gulley, Jadyn Tyler Gulley, Zachery Michael Gies, all of Spring Hill, brother Terry Eugene Gordon of Paola, Tamara Lynn Kamigawochi of Fresno, CA, and four grandchildren.
