Did i see holland pulling a long double on the indiana toll road in southbend last nite?
Ah special assignmentSb runs 3 a night mon-fri.
I can imagine all hell breaks loose when a tractor thief sneaks out an LD tractorThink they get a few cents a mile and get paid extra for the drops and hooks.
All hell breaks loose if ANY company looses a trailer in a drop lot. That's why our freight is a bid run and it's a turn or meet bid run. Loaded trailers aren't left sitting in a lot.I can imagine all hell breaks loose when a tractor thief sneaks out an LD tractor
I think he means someone takes out an LCV certified tractor on a non LCV run. Ours run a few MPH faster and have torque set higher so they pull better and don't loose speed on a gradeAll hell breaks loose if ANY company looses a trailer in a drop lot. Pull 2, and be happy. 3 are a pain in the Coop..Curious, do your LCV drivers (I know Holland doesn't run pups but you guys are under same pay as YRC, correct ?) get more money. If so, how much more?. I am with R&L and was stunned to find out our LCV drivers make less than a few pennies more than our regular linehaul guys. For our LCV drivers it's almost a status thing as opposed to financial. I had thought about trying to get triples certified when I was on linehaul but decided against it as very little financial benefit.
Whatever you do don't check the fence in MI. Lots of loaded trailers sitting there. All hell breaks loose if ANY company looses a trailer in a drop lot. That's why our freight is a bid run and it's a turn or meet bid run. Loaded trailers aren't left sitting in a lot.
