When I talk with police at very informal friendly meetings . My eye is always drawn to the holstered gun on their waste.
I don't know why but even those good guys wearing those guns makes me a tiny bit uncomfortable.
Does anyone else have the same feeling?

I don't feel that children in a school environment should be exposed to that sight on a daily basis.

What bothers me more is whenever or wherever I interact with them its automatic, gun hand is resting at draw position. Have to admit that while I'm in front of them my life is only as good as his judgement. I agree with many, its not the gun, its what the idiot behind it is thinking.

To all of you who are afraid of policemen with guns, I have one word for you, it it starts with p and ends with a y. Can anybody tell me why all the demonstrations seem to be in cities that are controlled by socialists!

Somebody has to pick up the tab for these protests, pay for buses, accommodations, organizational infrastructure, and that's the job of the elitist left, because this like alot of supposed grassroots protests aren't that grassroot.

If anybody has lost a child or love one in one of these tragic school killings you understand why these automatic weapons should be banned for sale to individuals. There are many gun options for hunters and pistol or rifles for home protection. No civilians need automatic weapons in this country. I understand sick people commit these acts of violence, but let's make it harder for these sick people to obtain these weapons. This is just my opinion, others will have theirs and that's fine. I'm not here to preach or start an argument with anybody. I for one am proud of these kids and I hope somebody in Washington finally listens to them.

I’m glad to see these young people exercising their rights peacefully for something they may feel strongly about. I just wish the celebrities, politicians and lobbyist would stop adding their ugliness to it.

Wake up brother, automatic weapons have been outlawed since the 1930s in this country.
The only place you see automatic weapons use is in Hollywood movies.
I may be wrong, but I have never heard of an automatic weapon used in a murder or a robbery or for any other illegal reasons in America.

George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and Taylor Swift all made sure everyone knew they were contributing $500K each to the organizers of today’s event.

If these people have so much extra money in their pockets why are people in socialist cities sleeping in the gutter, and eating out of garbage cans.

Ha! yes they tend to get that on the draw or ape like body stance with all that stuff they hang on the belt. Guns are too big to be wearing all day. They ought to go back to a 38 revolver and maybe they wouldn't be unloading 20 rounds into a dead guy like they seem to do.

People who think arming teachers and school personell forget that some of those folks are not screwed tight either. I can remember teachers with foul tempers in my days.

See that, ignorant gun nuts, NRA members, and most scumbag conservatives? DC, Texas, Idaho, PA. Etc. All over the country, these kids are making you irrelevant. And a lot are becoming voting age. This is gonna suck for you and it’s all your fault.

Thank you contributing some common sense to the discusion!
I understand you mean semi auto weapons, your correct we don't need them.
What the gun advocates here forget is they already are restricted. Fully automatic guns were made illegal back when Al Capone was shooting up his competition.
All of them here accept that they can't own a Tommy gun.
They don't even think about it.
Some day when semi autos are taken away they will learn to accept that too.
Meanwhile the kids are being killed
