Ahhh.......But look at all the perks you get driving truck,...that you don’t get in other occupations..

Once you get dispatched,....out and away from all the foolishness at the terminal,.......your mind becomes your own....you can think of pretty much anything you like,....and be paid for it.

Many’s the time I’ve solved the world’s problem,...and a few of my own,......with a couple hours of driving in solitude...

Your boss would give his right arm,....for that kind of freedom to.....think of anything he’d like,...and get a paycheck for doing it....

Or,.......to have a CB radio,...and spend a pleasant late evening cracking jokes and telling lies.........while the compensation meter ticks on.....

Think of all the scenery you see in a day’s drive........Think of all the....idiots you deal with once,.....and know you’ll never see them again..(..unless they re-order online again..)....

Think of the......freedom you have,....to curse out loudly,......any fool that motors across your path.....
How many jobs would allow you to bellow out the most virulent, toxic swear words you can think of,....impugning their looks, heritage and...eating habits.....for a full minute or two, until your volcanic eruption is exhausted....

Can’t think of any factory,...office,...any job, actually......that allows you complete freedom to holler curse words at the top of your lungs for a minute or two.....until you get it ALL out of your system,...and can return to gentle complacency........

Until the next pin-headed four-wheeler becomes oblivious to his impending doom.....

Think how healthy that is.......to get it all out,...instead of muttering it under your breath,.....so your co-worker doesn’t hear you and file”harassment” charges.....

Yes,......we have a lot of benefits most other jobs will....never have..

Yes almost every working American has their employer pay the lions share of their healthcare costs.
May I suggest we stop allowing lawyers like Democrat John Edwards to earn over $1 BILLION for himself while suing doctors??? Maybe that can begin lowering healthcare costs?? That may be a small step in the right direction...

We don’t give a rats ass about Europe. Funny how you don’t mention Canada. You are critically misinformed if you think “almost every working American has their employer pay the lions share of their healthcare costs.”

I believe the Dept. of Labor says that 17% of workers are part-time. Those people wouldn’t have health care.....

And they certainly are....working Americans.

And many of the employers who are working their employees over the government-mandated 35 hours to be considered full time....
..have the bare minimum required by Obamacare.....ONLY because it’s.....required.
And.......”lion’s share”.....is not an accurate description of the co-pays and out-of-pocket costs many employers impose on their workers.

And,......this doesn’t even take into account all the workers who are considered....”private contractors”......and have no company benefits at all.

The trucking company must be nice people to work for if a driver is willing to run without any benefits must give bootstraps for christmas
