Alright. A positive story. How refreshing. I notice Labrie specifically acknowledged the drivers as the reason the company won the award two years in a row. I'll take the beans if they're giving them!

Maybe with your beans you will get a pay raise??? :hysterical:

I'm kinda hoping this award will be in my next annual rewards statement.

There is a line, down into the body of this article a ways, where it calls us "the industry leading........etc.".......I've seen this several times in different company releases and articles.....I am wondering, how we are considered to be "industry leading".....? What is the standard by which it has been determined that we are "leading the industry"...do we move more tonnage than anyone else? Do we have more employees? Make more profit? Buy more fuel? What is the measure that they have used to determine that we are "industry leading"???? Seems to me that everyone in the LTL industry is chasing FEDEX Frt. not us. We certainly can't be "industry leading" when it comes to getting the freight to destination, cause everyone on the highway passes us, garbage trucks, cement mixers, school busses, old people driving Winnebagos.....everyone. How is it that we are called "industry leading"?????

It is nice

No, sometimes it's just nice to have some recognition.

But this is the first Ive heard of this. I didnt know we won it last year either. My TM never mentioned it to us, how bout you guys? Maybe they'll cook some burgers on the grill for us and thank us then.

Burgers? Do we get burgers anymore? I know my terminal hasn't done that in a LONG time.

Those team building cookouts that sent a message of appreciation are a thing of the past.

I guess they weren't worth the cost, and besides, cookouts have proven to be morale boosters.

We had a cookout just a couple of weeks ago, was pretty good too, first one in a long, long time......next day the three top dogs from Crystal Palace were there to bestow 2 million mile kudos on two of our drivers..... Say, wait just a minute, :butt kiss::silenced::rolleyes1::eek:you don't suppose?????????

We are merely what we say we are...ask someone at R&L Carriers if conway is the leader of the industry...give someone enouhg money and they too will say what you would like them to say...

It's called P.R. We're not the first to use it and we won't be the last. You get your company name out in a positive light whenever possible. Why is this so hard to understand?

Yup, it's "PR" when the drug companies say their products wont cause any harm and when Ford sez their Pinto gas tanks are safe and,...............

Just because everyone else uses "PR", does it mean it's OK?
That logic didn't work on my mom.
