Morale. Where did it go?
What’s morale? LMAO, it left 4 years ago.
And upper managements big raises.Thanks to all of the regular working people who bust there tail's everyday for this company..Sad Deal.Some of us seen it coming over all the green stuffMorale was replaced with record profits
Easier to keep it nicer and better condition at home.I leave it at home. No point to bring it to work.

This is what happens when a well run company has shareholders to answer to.
They have grown up and its to big for them to control the employees.
The Hot dogs are supposed to keep the grunts happy so they don't sign a card.
A few O.D drivers have came to work at Estes. Thats just a lateral move because we are in the same boat.Morale is low because all the quality employees are leaving because this new era if leadership only cares about the OR and profits. It's sad to see what happens to any company once the 3rd and 4th generations of upper management start to take over. This year's raise as usual was an insult. They throw the occasional 1 time bonus at us and have their little cookouts like that's a magic wand to cure everything. It's not always about the money. You get tired of the constant stupid daily decisions that cause you to work doubly as hard. The promotions to people who do not deserve them. Favoritism was always bad but now they don't even try to hide it. All these carriers now are the same, union or non. Just different color uniforms. They've gotten too big.
For me the biggest problem with OD is we have no personal days. You are not allowed to have a life outside of work. Try to use your vacation days and it gets declined every time! We used to have 2 AP days (which is not even close to enough) Now we have NONE!Morale. Where did it go?
Same here on the west coast, leaving 6 guys at home in a terminal with 25 city drivers, and they still have 4 dock to driver guys currently in training. For what? There's not enough work alreadyWhen they over hire so much no getting miles and or hours
Estes has 3 personal days but you have to wait 3 years before you get them. They will occasionally let you use a vacation day but you can also get wrote up as an occurrence. Just depends on what mood they are in. We still get the same number of days off we always have. Not really sure what you mean by we don't get 2 AP days anymore. As far as your days always getting declined that's obviously terminal to terminal but if you want a day off then take it.
