An early morning semi accident has closed multiple lanes on I-70 in east Columbus.
The semi was traveling eastbound on I-70 near the Main Street exit when the driver lost control around 1 a.m. The truck tipped over, sending the cab of the semi down an embankment.
Rescue crews had to pull the driver and a passenger from the cab. Both were taken to the hospital and are listed in stable condition.
Due to the accident, police have shutdown three lanes of I-70 eastbound beginning near the Miller-Kelton exit. Traffic is moving slow through the area as cleanup continues
