my father is dead-what happened?

I did not know my father very well, and I have such little info I am not sure if this will even help, but I am trying to find out about his death. His name was charles douglas smith, he died in a trucking accident, I believe he fell asleep at the wheel. He was from Missouri. I just recently found out he was my father. This would have been about 6 years ago. He was burned so badly they cremated him, so I am just trying to find out a little more about the accident. If you have an archive or something you can recommend, I would appreciate it. thank you.
