I would like to know what their definition of a low volume areas is. Does this mean they could shut down places like Springfield Mo. or Tulsa OK. and service them with contractors out of St Louis or Oklahoma city. What is their low volume figure? We cant take anything for granite here I don't know about you but I don't trust them. And I think we had utility drivers before but they didn't like them so some lost their jobs. Now they want them back. How long are they going to keep them for this time? The reason they cant make any money is because they cant make up their minds what we need to do from one day to the next. Its not rocket science. The biggest problem is they are trying to figure out how they can get more out of us and more in their pocket. They will be standing in the unemployment line with us. And from someone with a CDL it took me about a week to get a new job. Its a better job but the pay and the benefits are not that great. I'm planning on going back someday. Union jobs are the best but they are going by the way side I'm tired of these people thinking we are stupid. Our jobs are in higher demand than theirs. We can move freight without a CEO but they cant move freight without a driver or a dock worker. Lets study this real close before we sign it ask lots of questions and lets get all the information. Go to the meetings and ask. Lets make this company give their outlook and vision for our company. What do they really want this time. I think they will have a big change as soon as this is ratified and a lot a people is going to have to move and sell homes and change schools again. Someone needs to hold their feet to the fire. Our union needs to make them understand that we are tired of all the fear mongering and scare tactics. We all need and want the same thing to make a decent living. Lets stop all the B.S. I want to be proud of where I work again. I want these non union companies to know that when we pull into the lot that we are the industry leader. Like it used to be. But the company has to be willing and able to work with their work force not against us.
