YRC Freight | New contract

If they do. Yellow should think about a last final push before it really goes under the water. Full pension and $4 raise and knock that 2 tier wages. Start your new drivers at full pay scale and hire the drivers they want and need (pick and choose)
Yeah FXF is letting a bunch of good experienced drivers go. Should have plenty to choose from.

You'll be surprised how much freight gets lost idk how. Or damaged because people take longer breaks and then try to run full speed around the corners with freight tipping or trying to make freight fit by crushing it or not checking the weight so light pallets get smashed on and etc. We need better training.
You need 45'x96" trailers and no stacking.
Didn't cost a thing to tell you that. No time training wasted.
Pick the skid up.
Run it in.
Done.
That's all the training manual and study time needed.
Shove skids in between the outbound freight
Hammer them down.
No load bars.
Take them to auction.
Give the cash to Yellow.

12'6".
Stack nothing.
No airbags or compressors or hoses required.
Tall stuff on the right.
Low stuff on left.

Go.

Yellow will have the whole crew stop for half an hour.
Have 2 guys show ya how.
Pay a guy to film.
A guy to produce and make a video or they'll buy a training video or hire a consulting company to do it and spend $1 million doing it.
Buy fancy trailers. All different sizes
Buy fancy load bars.
Buy fancy compressors.
Buy fancy dollies and spend to train again

Waste waste waste waste waste time and money.
They'll spend $1 million on every guy watching the training for 15 minutes each.

It's simple.
I posted all you need to know.
Took one minute to read.
Do it.

Yellow's idea of professional...is a fancy word for waste.
A company TV and TV channel in every breakroom????? At every terminal??
And tell me we're broke???
Who gets paid to waste money on that...wires...broadcasting...programming it????
Installing???

And then tell me you're broke???
Who gets paid to waste that kind of money?
Are we here to move freight or buy overpriced expensive toys and create jobs we don't need to move freight!??

Razorblade had the wrong way to do it.
His idea is for a COO to cut guys.
Wrong.
Cut all the bullshit that ain't needed to move freight.
All them departments and training.

Hire enough guys to keep the trailers moving on the street and the freight moving on the dock.
It should never sit in a trap or in the yard.
Only appointment stuff sits. And it only sits at the destination terminals trap trailer. Or racks. Nowhere else.
Otherwise it should be moving like a river.

Get rid of all the uneccsary departments and technology nonsense.

City puts pickups in door.
Goes right onto outbound trailer.
Road driver hooked and waiting goes when the door comes down. He takes to destination.
Puts in door with stripper waiting at dock to open his door and put it on the trailer it goes in. Road driver hooks to his next one. Repeat.
No doubles to slow it hooking dollies.
Go go go go go.
No f'n around.
No load bars to slow it down either.
Bang skids in there with nails.
Think relay race. Not marathon.

We gave enough already first it was 5 years then they needed 5 more years we gave them millions of Dollars the banks helped the government helped them you can’t help this company every one has tried .like I’ve said many many times until you change the people running this company it doesn’t matter how much money they get they will not Make it .they spend more time on truck Driving rodeo they got money for that unreal

Union said 100% pension payments and the company hasn't been heard from since, what proposals would like to submit?
I thought the contract says $2.12/hr for and 8 hour day.
And that is what they are putting in.
What do people think they are supposed to be putting in, and what are they actually putting in at other places?

Well they are currently putting in. 53 cents an an hour. (75% discount) You have to remember, Yellow, does not abide by any contract, unless there are concessions.

I've been told they put in the contractual amount.
Maybe just Yellow? Or maybe just some funds?

Our TM said the IBT has said that they will start negotiating Aug 1, but that yellow was pushing for earlier
Eventually this slow freight will pickup and Yellow wants the COO in place to be ready for it. They were thinking it was gonna pickup by April. That's what a Yellow managent told us.
Obviously they're laying off now according to threads so they weren't right about it picking up.

Yellow currently contributes 21.31 a day( 106.55 a week) into Central States, I assume it's same at the others. The rate prior to 2009 and what ABF contributes is 348.00 a week. You see the problem.....
Yes. I was looking for that kind of thing with numbers. id have to dig for my old contract book and couldn't find it.
All I could find is written of today's contract and I actually called our Hall and they told me the contributions were being contributed correctly as per contract.
Thanks for the clarity.
