New Jersey-Burning Tomatoes Clog N.J. Turnpike

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. - September 13, 2006 - The northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike were closed for a couple of hours due to a burning tractor trailer on Wednesday.

It happened just before 11 a.m at mile-marker 33. The fire was so intense it literally melted the truck cab.
Police say the rig was loaded with tomatoes.

No injuries were reported.

I burnt tomatoes once when I was canning them and it smells nasty!
