Gordon Food Service, the country's 39th largest private company, is preparing to build one of the region’s largest distribution centers in Findlay Township and will bring with it up to 300 jobs.

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based food wholesaler/retailer plans to build a 420,000-square-foot distribution center in the Pittsburgh region beginning in September and opening in 2015. The new distribution center is expected to eventually employ up to 300 people.
