ODFL | New trucks

Been getting a few here and there in the last month or so. 22530xx 22531xx freightliners. May have had some problems with a few of them. I haven't driven one since we still have the one year old KW. Last night there was another new one in front of the shop. 23 Freightliner. 26530xx .


I asked the night shop supervisor what a 265 is. Are you sitting down?

It's an automatic. With buttons on the steering wheel.

Was told by manager OD has purchased some automatics and Mack's due to truck shortage and that we should see those slowly working into system. We will see.

don't worry .. it wont be new for long. someone is going to take it and treat it as their own personal dumpster. and on top of it he will side swipe a yellow pole on the passenger side just enough to leave a yellow racing stripe to remind you every day it's not new anymore

We were told not to expect any new trucks this year.

Ok , so how many customers have charging stations for your truck and how far can you go pulling a 80,000 lb load ? And does using the Cigarette Lighter shorten battery life ?

They have no problem pulling a big load.
The new battery weighs 79,856lbs.
I read the new electric F150 Ford can go 70 miles pulling a light load.
