KIRKWOOD, N.Y. A truck crash on Interstate 81 near Binghamton this morning caused an interstate traffic jam.
Two northbound tractor-trailers collided on the highway just before eight a-m in the town of Kirkwood, 10 miles south of Binghamton.
The crash shut down part of I-81, although state police detoured traffic through a truck weigh station near the scene.
Northbound traffic snaked slowly through the weigh station. Traffic was backed up for a few miles into Pennsylvania.
One of the truck drivers was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment of a minor injury.
