Nikolaus J. Haas
Nikolaus J. Haas "Nick", 71, born in New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away November 11, 2008.
Nick was an Akron resident most of his life where he retired from Roadway in 1994. He was an avid Nascar fan and also enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie with his fishing buddies.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Haas. He leaves behind his children, Jeffrey Haas, Michelle Hunt and Debbie (Rod) Jackson; grandchildren, Ashley Haas, Ryan Hunt, Caitlin Clupper, Alan, Sarah, Andrea, Jackson and long time companion, Glovana Border.
The family would like to thank the palliative care unit at Akron City and Hospice of Summa for all their support and care. Also thanks to all of his special buddies who came to visit him and give him support when he needed it most.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15th, 4 p.m. at Adams Mason Memorial Chapel, 791 E. Market St., Akron. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mike Shaub officiating.
