Reddaway union employees are currently working without a contract. What is being negotiated is Reddaway,s entry into the NMFA. So when the union comes back with the proposal for a vote it is for NMFA not a new white paper contract. Reddaway must be in the NMFA Before any merger takes place. So this is great news for Reddaway Teamsters and not so good news for Reddaway Non union employees. Your still $hit out of luck.

So you're happy to see your fellow employees get a bad deal. Nice guy you are.

How is that a bad deal? They will get what Yellow freight teamsters are getting. Because that is what they will be in 2022. Please enlighten me.
Saying that they will be "$hit out of luck" gave me the impression that you were gloating at their implied misfortune. Was I wrong seeing it that way?

Not what I’m hearing in Phoenix. The BA there is trying to get a white paper contract so the Reddaway employees that are union can’t get NMFA. Not in the Reddaway drivers best interest.

If you’re a non union employee with seniority time to pull the rip cord. They’re baiting you along taking their time until they are ready. Economy is at its peak and will continue til the rest of the year. So a lot of good jobs. Good choices of what’s best for you. But what goes up must come down. If you wait, then they drop the bomb and the economy decides to slow down then your In a world of sh$t.

If Reddaway does not join the NMFA Yellow will be forced to absorb into Yellow instead of merger.

Reddaway better quit the BS and games or old Yeller is going to pull the plug. Remember as it stands you are Un-contracted and vulnerable as hell.
Not all Reddaway terminals are non union, Phoenix is union. And if they were to pull the plug on them, they’d be cutting their own throat. Yellow can’t service the freight that have, they will never be able to service overnight and 2 day lanes, especially with out personal that know how to do it.

They are very capable of overnight and two day delivery.
But only if the Numbers crunchers let them. $$$$$

Union or not Reddaway as it stands today is UN-Contracted. And to your second point, Yellow will move your next day\2 day freight with or without Reddaway employees. This is a Common smug Reddaway saying that has infected that company for years. What special skills are you endowed with that makes you the only company on the planet that can move next day/2nd day freight ? You bought into the BS hook line and sinker. Yellow will be CO-mingling Regional and national freight on the same trailers in the same manner as FedEx Freight. Get used to it it is the only way to build enough density to justify hauling your precious next day/2nd day freight that pays little to nothing compared to national full rate shipments.

Not actually....if you get NMFA, it has a card-check agreement in there that the employer must honor. If the majority of the employees at a terminal sign cards, they will be under the NMFA without any long, drawn-out process. SO.....them coming on later will work out for ALL.

Aren’t the employees considered to be under the old “expired” contract while a new contract is being negotiated?

The competition, all of them, move overnight and other lanes everyday with success. If it was such a dead loser, why do they continue doing it now? Why has Yellow not done this before? What was the point of buying USF again?

Sure but you are assuming way to much with the Nons. Believe me when I say the selfish behavior exhibited since the mid 90,s by them will prove no different this time as it has the multiple times before to attempt organizing them. Pure hatred for anything Union without any Logical Reason for it.

The point? To buy more time and suck assets down with leasebacks while becoming (in the governments eyes) “To big to Fail”. If that worked, which it eventually did they then would move forward in becoming and mirroring FedEx freight.
