This past week Our terminal next door(Pyle) had a lot of Freight dockworkers come in looking for work saying March 10th the terminal is completely closing. It seems weird as Fedex Built the terminal new in 2012 and its in great shape. Our drivers thought it was weird also since it was only dock that came looking for work not any drivers so far. Not sure if they were just doing layoffs of dock and they misunderstood or thought that meant the terminal was closing.

ADP can gain some good workers! As can anytime willing to employ them…

Is A Duie Pyle in a position where they're able to hire any of them right now? When one ltl company is laying off and putting people on furlough, their competition is usually doing the same.

Thinking Pyle may be different than other ltl companies. We have warehousing and dedicated divisions separate from the ltl operations. So if one segment is slow, others may be busy.

We had folks jumping ship when the furloughs started and they’ve been doing good. The LTL sector as a whole has slowed but FXF had got it the worst… through no fault of their own according to some of the desk jockeys on here though lol. Bring back Fred and Mike!

Talked to a driver out of your Pittston Pa. Terminal & he told me they were only getting 4 days a week & it was like this for a while & were starting to do the same to linehaul drivers….

The funny thing is, this date in March is when the new bid is said to start. (A bid that is posting tomorrow and cutting runs)

This is sounding like a Change of Ops in the Northeast, if the terminal closing rumor has validity…

The 4 day week for the p&d guys is almost normal. Been happening for years. Though not consistent. And yes, l/h is slow. Cut back some but no layoffs

Pyle only used half the terminal when I used to layover there. Linehaul drivers that lived far away used to sleep in the bunkhouse upstairs instead of going home. We got into it big time with the trash at the terminal cause we weren't going to sleep on dirty bedding and went to the hotel. Could care less for that place.

I have not stayed there for years. The driving school is there now. At Least half the rooms are the students. May have gotten better. Michael the long time TM left
