Hello All,
This is an expanded update on the meeting in Ohio for all with an interest in multiemployer pension funds.
We are planning a meeting to address the National United Committee to Protect Pensions by-laws, membership, goals, achievements, fundraising and updates to our movement on pension issues, solutions and legislation. This will be an informational meeting only. It will not be a meeting to vote.
It will be an informal meeting with no rules of order but an agenda will be in place.
This meeting is not limited to Chairs and Vice-Chairs. Anyone with an interest is invited.
We've received a lot of questions about NUCPP. Due to the busy schedules and demands placed on Mike and Sherman, it is unknown when additional meetings will be scheduled to disburse information and answer your questions. This Ohio meeting is your opportunity to get your questions answered firsthand by Mike and Sherman.
The meeting will be at the Clarion Hotel in Hudson, Ohio.

The reception will be on Monday, April 3rd beginning at 7:00 p.m. Attendance is optional. The meeting on Tuesday, the 4th will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the meeting on Wednesday, the 5th will be from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Rooms range from $65 to $85 per night. A free breakfast is included with the rental of a room.
There is an additional cost of $60.00 per person to attend the conference. This will cover the cost of the Hospitality Room for the reception, conference room rental, beverages at morning and afternoon breaks and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. While dinner on Tuesday is ‘on your own’ the hotel will provide an optional buffet to our conference participants. If you have family members or guests who are not attending the conference, they are welcome and encouraged to join us for the dinner buffet on Tuesday at approximately 6:30. The cost for a dinner ticket has not been determined by the hotel, but they assure us it will be reasonable.
There will be a happy hour on Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with free appetizers and discounts on drinks.
There is sightseeing in the quaint town of Hudson for anyone with an interest. You'll be provided with information on area attractions closer to the meeting dates.
There are two airports we recommend: Cleveland Hopkins Airport and the Akron/Canton Airport. While the hotel cannot promise shuttle service from these airports, due to a contract they have to honor, the Committee is working diligently to assist you with your needs. We are making our best efforts.
Dana Vargo, Chair of the Canton, Ohio Committee, has graciously volunteered to be event planner.
The cutoff date for a reply from you is Wednesday, March 8th. Please reply to this email or call me at[email protected]or 330-904-5976.
Please forward this invitation to anyone who might have an interest. We look forward to seeing you there!
