NORTH TOLEDO -- A ramp that connects I-75 to Phillips is back open after a truck spilled part of its load. The call came in around 11:00am on Tuesday.

Police say a truck carrying plate steel dumped that load on the roadway at the end of the Phillips Avenue on-ramp to I-75 southbound.

News 11 wanted to know more about the concerns of drivers when it comes to the way truck loads are carried.

You want to believe the truck driver has tightened down those things in front of you but then you see the straps flapping around loosely. "I probably get over into the other lane," said driver Becky Tennis who gets out of the way because she's had to dodge objects before.

"Some stuff like flying out at your windshield...that's real scary," she told
us.
