A tractor-trailer accident Friday morning on Oklahoma 132 closed the highway for about five hours at the curve at the Garfield-Grant county line.

The driver, Davis Fredrick, 43, of Enid, was hauling screenings for Cummins Construction Co. when the weight in his truck shifted, rolling the truck to its side, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Fredrick failed to execute the curve while traveling north on the highway at a high rate of speed, according to the report.

According to Trooper Lawerence Kimble, the cause of the accident was unsafe speed. Kimble said the driver said the weight of his load was not evenly distributed and contributed to the truck rolling over.
