Coop Dispatch cleared? For Now.
Questioned yesterday by Republican lawmakers, former Trump advisor to Russia, Fiona Hill, and Security council representative to the Ukraine, Mr. Holmes, both gave similar testimony that on the date in question, July 26th, they both were at a gathering where Big Dave did, remove his hat, and they heard Trump say, “he has an entire Capriotti’s sandwich shop in there”. It is not yet clear yet as to where, or when the new franchise would be located. Calls to Coop this morning were referred to a female employee who declined to give her name, stating that Dave was unavailable for comment as he was in Waterloo trying to get one of their trucks out from under a low viaduct.

Noticed this on the intranet home page:

The campaign will include billboards in eight U.S. markets located near key FedEx facilities; These will be a mix of digital and static billboards that will run from Monday, Nov. 25, to Sunday, Dec. 22

There is a “cold weather” and a “warm weather” version of the billboards.

The cold weather version will run in these markets: Newark (6 billboards), Pittsburgh (7), Indianapolis (10), and Chicago (8).

The warm weather version will run in these markets: Memphis (12 billboards), Dallas/Fort Worth (13), Los Angeles (7), and Oakland (7).

Meet the FedEx Team You Didn’t Know Existed

https://about.van.fedex.com/blog/live-animal-desk/

"...Every week they review shipping requests from zoos, animal rescue organizations and other groups."

"...We look at every animal shipping request on a case-by-case basis. Per FedEx policy, we don’t ship pets or take requests from individuals. Much of our focus goes to rescued animals or those being moved from one zoo to another for breeding or educational purposes."

"...Working on the Live Animal Desk is the most challenging and rewarding job I’ve had at FedEx. There is never a dull moment. I have learned so much about the safe movement of animals and how to work with other departments at FedEx to make it possible. Our reward comes when we receive photos of the rescue animals in their new forever homes."

Did it show any examples? Let's see some pictures from the markets.

:eagerness:I’ll try and take a picture next time I’m driving on 294 or 55 and I see a Fedex billboard.

Harris looking for answers in Iowa!
Democratic California Senator, Kamala Harris, campaigning Saturday in the Waterloo-Cedar Rapids corridor stated her support is growing in Iowa, and not unraveling. She said she met with many of the Moldavian immigrants living in that area, who work in Coop Dispatch facilities. Listening to the concerns of voters, who said they work long hours in warehouses packaging popcorn, and can only watch reruns of Bonanza, and The Jerry Springer Show on television. The group said their employer tells them only the Ukrainian people can get CDL truck licenses. Harris said she will put that issue on her agenda, and have her staff look into any wrong doing. It was not yet clear when the allegations would be looked at. Calls to Coop offices were not returned.

UPS working to resolve legal dust-up after firing driver who refused to drive without an ELD

https://www.ccjdigital.com/ups-work...a3c973&utm_term=newsletter-2-daily-position-3

"The DOL’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ordered UPS Freight to pay the driver $15,273 in compensatory damages, $30,000 in punitive damages and approximately $2,700 in back wages plus interest. OSHA alleged that UPS violated the Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA) by firing an unnamed driver based at the company’s Londonderry, New Hampshire, facility in March 2019.

OSHA said the driver’s supervisor was not trained on ELD requirements and that company managers attempted to coerce the driver into violating ELD regulations."

Roadmaster CEO: Fleet shutdowns 'cleanse' the trucking industry

https://www.fleetowner.com/fleet-ma...59ddec5641c592a6321b8ca99725&utm_source=27709

"Rumblings about the industry facing a downturn going forward are a little overblown to Wilbur.

“2019 would feel a lot better if it wasn’t for 2018,” he said. “2018 was such a barn burner of a year for the entire industry, and everybody has short memories. But if you could theoretically remove 2018 and stack 2019 up against 2017, ‘16, ’15 and ’14, it looks pretty good. So I would start from that perspective."

This guy's got the right perspective, I think. :1036316054:

"We can pay more than the average because of what we do, but we require a lot more credentialed drivers than general carriers, so they deserve to get more. But it’s not how much I pay them, it’s how I pay them that’s the big difference maker.”
