"Smith recently said in a conference call with analysts that 33-foot trailers would be “the biggest single thing that could be done in this country that would help the environment and improve the productivity of our logistics systems.” He also cited improved safety and less fuel use as reasons to adopt the new size limits.

David S. Congdon, president and CEO of Old Dominion Freight Line, the leading LTL carrier in terms of profitability, said he was also backing greater use of twin-33s.

“I see us implementing this thing on some of our longest haul lanes that had the highest amount of freight lane density first,” Congdon recently told analysts on a conference call. “So it will be something that we will be putting them in as we buy new trailers.”"

McConnell to allow vote on bill overhauling NSA's bulk collection of phone metadata

http://circanews.com/news/congressional-reaction-to-nsa-digital-surveillance

"The National Security Agency has access to how people use phones and the Internet as part of its surveillance programs, justified through the Patriot Act."

"The USA Freedom Act would limit the bulk collection of telephone records and allow companies to more easily challenge gag orders imposed by national security letters. The bill replaces bulk collection, with a system that requires court orders to search data on a case-by-case basis."

"The U.S. House of Representatives passed the USA Freedom Act in a 338 to 88 vote May 13."

As if the new Volvo's don't already have enough bells, whistles, buzzers, and lights going off!!!
The last thing they need is more of them!!!
