Open enrollment starts dec 16, packets are on the way. Also does anyone know the rules or limitations for adding a parent to your insurance, if they live with you? Is it even possible?

If a parent is a dependent then yes they can be added. I have heard nothing about open enrollment, not until the TA is approved.

After the next vote it will be approved. The union will spend our dues on leaflets and crap in the mail. Has anyone else notice in the "toilet paper" teamster magizine that it says nothing about ups, ups freight, yrc ,abf?? Im thinking to myself, y would it. Those stories arent positive for the ibt. We are all headaches. But the 16 school bus drivers are a great warm and cuddly story. Just pathetic

IBT?.. they still exist?.. as in the lack of due representation UPS Frt and ABF "enjoyed" so goes YRCW... "bargaining in good faith" ... NOT this IBT .. unless as you say you're a bus driver (no disrespect intended .. to the bus drivers).

Hard to bargain in good faith in representing the membership when you're in bed with the companies... angry?.. ye.. so?:

I had a Teamsters union official tell me a few years back that freight is just too much of a pain to be involved with these days. Municipal contracts and other professions are easy compared to freight. Do a deal every 5 years, not many grievances, and let the dues money roll in. I thought it was only his opinion at the time. Now I'm convinced it's the union line.

I hope the members remember Hoffa/Hall and all the BA's that tried to sell that POS contract with scare tactics at election time. I know its a few years off, but I wont forget.

Now I'm confused! We were told that we had to re-enroll if we wanted to keep our plan as is. Yet I received the packet today in the mail and it states that if you have no changes you need to do nothing? Which is it!

Got my packet yesterday, It is the same Aetna plan I had. If no changes to your plan you do not have to call the benefits department. We keep this Insurance until a new contract is ratified. Flexible spending account will no longer exist starting January, 1 2014
