Freight is implementing a 30 dollar per shipment peak surcharge starting July 5 in certain areas.
Recouping that lost revenue from the 1400 with no work involved.Happy July 4th
Got to take the good with the bad with certain accounts….Not saying it’s right, just the way it is….Good.
45mi one way trip to deliver a damn $100 Grill in the middle of BFE is not sustainable.
No you don't. Deliveries/accounts like that will never be profitable, and have a high risk factor.Got to take the good with the bad with certain accounts….Not saying it’s right, just the way it is….
And you know this, how?Deliveries/accounts like that will never be profitable
I'm not sure how I can explain it more simply than the freight is not profitable to haul. And you know this, how?
Ok I will use Weber grills as a example if they give you 3 trailers a day skidded no touch freight & one skid is residential’s your going to tell them you only want the good stuff? They will tell you to fu*k off & call another carrier….No you don't. Deliveries/accounts like that will never be profitable, and have a high risk factor.
Just because one aspect of the account is unprofitable does not mean that the whole account is. When you lose a million on home delivery but make 10 million on the rest of the account you can justify it. Simple enough for you?I'm not sure how I can explain it more simply than the freight is not profitable to haul.
What aspect of this escapes you?
How dare you question our business expert. What are you thinking? He is a CEO in his own mind.Just because one aspect of the account is unprofitable does not mean that the whole account is. When you lose a million on home delivery but make 10 million on the rest of the account you can justify it. Simple enough for you?
