It's not the company's job to pay your bills after you quit working. It's your job! Save all the money you can, quit buying toys! Think about your future, and quit the "instant gratification game". If you fail to take care of your future, your future will fail you by design."

Think ahead folks...plan for the future.

Well you have to admire a man who has been financially responsible and set himself up to retire at 59 1/2. Most people stick around long after their 70’s.
I work with at least 3 drivers who were definitely leaving at 62. When they figured out insurance costs they all decided to keep working.

BINGO!:clapping:

The above IS the double edged sword. It shows 2 things:

1) Why we need/want a retiree healthcare benefit (even if optional)
2) Why we're NOT likely to (ever) see it.
Don’t you mean...

1) It makes you realize that our insurance/premiums aren’t that bad after all

2) Perhaps we’ll need to save/invest a little more to cover the cost of higher premiums

I recently checked into my SS and to qualify for full benefits I’ll have to work until I’m 74....even more reason to call it quits at 55!! :1036316054:
